Reynisdrangar Basalt Rocks at Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach, Iceland
A long exposure photograph of Reynisdrangar Basalt Rock Sea Stacks in the ocean, as seen from Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach at Vik, in southern Iceland. Photographed on a very foggy autumn day, these giant rocks loom out of the mist and sea while waves crash on the shore. The water of the receding waves reflect the image of the basalt rocks while the nearby volcanic rock cliffs look down from on high to the right. Ancient folklore says these basalt rock sea stacks were once trolls who turned to stone in the sunlight.
